The short version
Interludes is a place to leave one comment per song and react to other people's. We collect only what the app needs to work. There is no advertising, no tracking across other apps or websites, and no analytics or advertising SDKs in the app at all.
What we collect
Account — an email address, Sign in with Apple, or on Android, Sign in with Google. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only ever receive Apple's private relay address. If you use Sign in with Google, Google shares your email address and basic profile (name and profile picture) with us. We also store the username and display name you choose.
Profile picture — only if you upload one.
What you post — your comments, replies, reactions, follows, blocks and reports, and the songs they relate to.
Notifications — if you turn on push notifications, your device's notification token, so we can tell you when someone replies to you, reacts to your comment, follows you, or your comment reaches the top of a song. It is deleted when you turn notifications off or delete your account, and the app works without it.
Kept on your device only — your recent searches and your preferred streaming service. These never leave your phone.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos library, browsing history, or advertising identifiers.
How we use it
To run the app: show your comments to other people, rank the top comment on a song, build your feed, and let people find your profile.
To keep it safe: comments pass an automated check before they are posted, uploaded profile pictures are screened automatically for adult and violent content, and reports are reviewed.
To contact you about your account, such as sending a sign-in code, and — only if you allow it — to send notifications about activity on what you posted. You can turn these off at any time in your phone's settings.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
What other people can see
Your username, display name, bio, profile picture, comments, and the gold vinyls you have earned are public — they can be seen in the app and by anyone with a link to a shared comment or profile. Your email address is never shown to other users.

These providers process data on our behalf. We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Advanced Settings → Delete my account. This permanently removes your profile, comments, reactions, follows, blocks and reports. It cannot be undone. If you no longer have the app, you can request deletion by email.
You can also delete an individual comment at any time without deleting your account.
Reports you have filed may be retained in anonymised form where we need them to keep the community safe.
Keeping data
We keep your information for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account it is removed as described above. Backups are rotated on a rolling basis and any residual copies age out with them.
Children
Interludes is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to how it is used. You can edit your details in Settings and delete your account in the app. For anything else, email us and we will help.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you in the app.
